Anita Thomas-Bua

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor [LCPC]

Anita has extensive therapeutic experience working with individuals from all walks of life and of all ages.   She prides herself in offering a safe, warm, relaxing atmosphere for both individuals and couples.   With her background, she has a wide range of helping in mental health, crisis intervention, and social work.  She is able to direct individuals towards community and personal resources with a broad range of therapeutic modalities.   She treats dual diagnosed individuals, mood disorders such as anxiety and depression with a Cognitive Behavioral and Person centered, and Rational Emotive modalities. She assists individuals and couples with tools they need to self-direct their future on their journey, empowering them by building up their confidence and self-worth.  

Anita received her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, first majoring in Social Welfare and then in Guidance and Counseling.  

Anita has one adult daughter and two adopted adult children from Haiti.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and one of her greatest joys is spending time with her infant niece. (picture inserted here) She enjoys painting and other forms of art, decorating and gardening, and playing with her two dogs.  She is passionate about fostering her personal spiritual growth.
