Jeff has been in the counseling field since 2004, serving individuals, couples, and families in Chicago and suburban areas of Illinois. He is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Certified Addictions Counselor (CADC).
Experience:

2004-2005 Jeff was hired by Northwestern Counseling to provide individual in-home counseling for individuals experiencing substance abuse/addiction, mental illness, and psychosocial maladaptive behavior. He assisted individuals challenged with bi-polar, depression, and anger management. Also counseled individuals afflicted with psycho-emotional aftermath resulting from domestic, sexual and child abuse.

2006-2007 Jeff volunteered as a Will County Suicide Crisis Center Operator. He verbally screened incoming callers to determine the seriousness of maladaptive intentions i.e. suicide, self-inflicted harm, domestic abuse. Provided direction for individuals experiencing suicidal ideation/tendencies and domestic abuse.

2009-2010 Jeff was employed by the Maryville Academy Scott Nolan Center Psychiatric Hospital. There he was responsible for the day-to-day teaching, guidance of youth, adolescent and young adults in a psychiatric hospital through the implementation of individualized treatment plans or specialized treatment strategies. He conducted group counseling and psycho-education classes, which included, and not limited to, addressing patient feelings, goals and other information related to learning and behavioral development.

2010-2012 Jeff worked in the psychiatric wing of Elmhurst Hospital. While there he conducted individual/group counseling and psycho-education classes, addressed patient feelings, goals, explored and addressed the foundation of issues, post-traumatic stress, neurochemistry, diathesis-stress model, chemical dependency and other information related to learning and behavioral development. He assisted in managing the milieu and living environment of an 18-bed unit promoting the learned of desirable behavior patterns of adults in a safe nurturing environment.

2012-2015 Jeff was hired as an addiction counselor at Rosecrance to aid individuals afflicted with addiction and related emotional issues. He conducted both individual and group counseling utilizing cognitive behavioral and rational emotive behavioral counseling strategies.

Jeff is a Chicago–born native, raised in a blue-collar family with a strong work ethic. Prior to finding his passion for helping others through therapeutic interventions, Jeff worked in the industries of hospitality and telecommunications as both a laborer and in management roles. He believes his life and career experiences have contributed to the depth of his counseling style and approach. Jeff enjoys playing guitar, reading and watching action/adventure movies. Someday he hopes to start working out again.
