Experience:

Adrienne believes that growth and healing are an important and ongoing part of one’s personal journey.   She sees counseling as an opportunity to come alongside and help in that journey. Adrienne enjoys reading, making crafts and spending time with family and friends.

2012-2016   Practiced as a Licensed Professional Counselor at Heritage Counseling Center, Inc. in Plainfield, IL.    There she worked with children (the youngest being seven years old), adolescents, adults, and senior adults providing them with  individual, family and relational therapy.   She also facilitated a mental health wellness group for adolescents at Heritage.

2010-2011     Completed her practicum and internship at Haymarket Center in Chicago, IL.   She worked in the 30-day women’s residential program providing individual and group therapy.

2007-2015    While transitioning to and attending graduate school, she worked as an Administrative Assistant and then was promoted to the Senior Administrator of the Committees and Governance Programs at the National Association of Realtors in Chicago, IL. 

2004-2007     Worked as a foster care Case Manager for Evangelical Child and Family Agency in Wheaton, IL.

Groups

  • Family Recovery Group: Wednesdays, 6:30p-8:30p

The Family Recovery Group provides education and support for family members of a loved one struggling with addiction. The educational portion includes topics such as: understanding addiction, codependency, family roles, boundaries, relapse prevention, and family recovery. The support portion offers a safe and confidential place to discuss issues being experienced.

  • Balance: Thursdays, 6:30p-8:30p

Sometimes in life we need some extra support. Sometimes we need to learn or refresh healthy life skills. Balance is a wellness group that will provide education in topics such as: understanding emotions, coping skills, interpersonal skills, and self-discovery. It also offers a safe and confidential place to discuss issues you are experiencing. If you’re new to therapy, need some extra support, or want to learn or refresh healthy life skills, this is the group for you!
